Deris is proud to announce that 6th Unreal Campaign event has been organized at Saint-Joseph High School on February 28, 2020 on behalf of International Trademark Association (INTA).
INTA’s long-standing project Unreal Campaign aims to raise awareness of the consumers of the next generation, ages 14-23, about the dangers of the counterfeit goods and the importance of brands and trademark rights. Deris has been an active supporter of the campaign through its internal team since 2018 and hosted by Turkey’s most distinguished high schools within the campaign since then.
The last event was held at Saint-Joseph High School. The presentation started with Legal Intern Oya Sahin brief introduction regarding INTA and Unreal Campaign and continued with the presentation of Associate Soley Coban, Deris Unreal Campaign team member, and Managing Partner Serra Coral, as Deris volunteer. Coban introduced the definition and types of trademarks through the illustrations and interactive games while Coral explained the adverse effects of counterfeiting and purchasing fake products. The presentation ended by an interactive quiz between Coral and the students on identification of genuine and fake products.
The Unreal Campaign Committee seeks to reach students through online and direct engagement initiatives in North America, Latin America, Asia, Africa and Europe and since the project launch in 2012 over 44,000 students were engaged in the Campaign directly. For further information click here.
Deris will continue to be a determined volunteer for the Campaign in the following months.
