The Intellectual Property Academy (“Academy”), which aims to contribute to the cultivation of human resources required by our country in the field of Industrial Property officially established with the Industrial Property Law No. 6769 which came into force on January 10, 2017.
On November 14, 2019, the functioning and procedural principles of the Intellectual Property Academy are embodied by the regulation.
This Academy will be responsible for organizing basic and specialized training programs, domestic internship programs, calls, panels, conferences, symposia, congresses and similar activities, for conducting researches in the field of IP, as well as conducting coordination and domestic cooperation activities and consulting.
Immediately afterwards, the Academy will provide personnel certification in accordance with the relevant national and international standards and will ensure that the professional knowledge and skills of the employees in the field of IP in public and private sectors are established within the framework of international norms.
The provisions of this regulation will be enforced by the Minister of Culture and Tourism and the president of the TURKPATENT.
